Added by Technopeasant"Frank and Jesse James" is the beginning track from Warren Zevon's 1976 album, Warren Zevon. It was written by Warren Zevon and Jackson Browne. The song describes the lives of two brothers from a small town in Missouri named Frank and Jesse James. It describes them learning horseback riding and marksmanship, before ending up fighting on the losing side of the American Civil War. Not having been granted amnesty they rode away as outlaws, riding against the government until they are betrayed by the gunmen Robert Ford.

Featured quote
"There have been many periods in my life when I couldn't even afford to have a keyboard instrument. People wonder why you aren't writing more acoustic piano songs. 'Well, because you're not buying the records, and I hocked the Yamaha the year before last! That's why!'"
- Stated by Warren Zevon on the topic of pianos from an interview.
